Bangers Win At Royal Thai Police Sports Club

Last Saturday, the Banger Colts played a practice match against the Royal Thai Police cadets at their magnificently refurbished stadium at the Royal Thai Police Sports Club. A good turnout of new Banger signings were quickly integrated into the team. The Banger spirit evolved throughout the match, with the lads enjoying the workout on a very warm afternoon.

This friendly match saw both sides regularly rotating players to give all players maximum game time. The Thai Rugby Union season kicks off in the next month. Whilst The Bangers had interchange players on the sideline the Police cadets had enough for four teams. It was a fresh side each quarter. Now, this was a challenge.

The match was brilliant to watch from the sidelines. The back and forth nature, created an exciting atmosphere. Both teams contributed to the spectacle. As always, the Bangers had to contend with the speedy and competent Police back line who threatened all afternoon. The loose forwards worked hard all day to contain them. The back also deserve a mention with Adrien and Kilea orchestrating some magnificent tries for their outside backs.

This was a gritty determined team performance by the Bangers who deserved the win. The disciplined all round performance payed dividends. Final Score : Banger Colts 20, Royal Thai Police 12
